Thanksgiving may look different this year for everyone celebrating, and travelers are no exception. Select restaurants are open every year on Thanksgiving, and many have made additional accommodations for takeout or delivery to ensure that diners can enjoy a safe holiday meal.

Here are 10 restaurants open on Thanksgiving this year, including curbside and take-out options. Make sure to call ahead or check the hours online for your local location before visiting. Some locations may be affected by local COVID-19 mandates. 

Applebee’s

Most Applebee’s locations will have normal operating hours on Thanksgiving, and travelers can dine in or order food to pick up.

Bob Evans

Bob Evans will have special meals and breakfast favorites available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving for dine-in, delivery or curbside. Their website will open for takeout, curbside pickup and delivery orders at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Boston Market

Travelers can order an individual Thanksgiving meal, including sliced turkey breast or chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and a slice of pie, or a spread that serves three people, on Thanksgiving day at Boston Market.

Chevy’s

Select Chevy’s locations will be open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving their usual Mexican menu, as well as a 3-course Thanksgiving dinner.

Chili’s

Chili’s will not offer any special holiday meal, but select locations will be open for dine-in and carryout on Thanksgiving.

Cracker Barrel

In addition to its regular menu, Cracker Barrel will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey and dressing beginning at 11 a.m. The meal will be available to order online closer to Thanksgiving, and can be ordered for takeout.

Denny’s

Denny’s will be open on Thanksgiving for dine-in or carry out, serving a turkey and dressing meal along with its regular menu.

Golden Corral

Golden Corral’s buffets will be open on Thanksgiving, serving a special holiday meal that includes turkey and mashed potatoes, and pumpkin and pecan pie. The restaurant is also offering a take-out option that serves 6-8 people, in addition to other holiday favorites that will be available to-go individually.

IHOP

IHOP is open 24 hours a day, including on Thanksgiving, for dine-in or carryout. The chain serves a special holiday menu throughout November and December.
